Why we exist
An estimated 50,000 U.S. veterans live full-time or part-time in the Dominican Republic. Many chose to retire here for the climate, cost of living, and overall quality of life. However, quality healthcare tailored to veterans, billed through the VA, and delivered in English by physicians credentialed to meet U.S. standards has historically been difficult to find on this side of the Caribbean.
We built it with veterans in mind. International Caribbean Veterans Care is a full-service medical clinic and wellness center in Punta Cana and Santiago, designed specifically for American veterans. Our clinicians are English-speaking, ensuring clear communication and a level of care veterans can trust.
Our mission
To ensure every U.S. veteran living in or visiting the Dominican Republic has access to world-class healthcare designed around their unique needs, delivered with dignity, trust, and clinical excellence at every step.
What we do differently
- Bilingual, veteran-focused staff. Every physician and therapist speaks English fluently. Most have U.S. training or U.S. residency credentials.
- One location, full spectrum. Primary care, specialists, chiropractic, physical therapy, mental health, and diagnostics under one roof.
- Wellness retreats built in. The Caribbean is a healing environment. We built structured mental health retreat programs that use it.
- American standards, Caribbean pace. Short waits, direct physician access, and the calm that comes from being on island time.
People who make the difference.
Our clinicians bring U.S. medical training, veteran-specific experience, and fluency in both English and Spanish.
